Privacy & cookies
FocusFiesta is a directory: we list workshops and link you to the organizers. We collect as little as a website can, and nothing is sold or shared for advertising. Last updated 28 October 2026.
Who runs this site
FocusFiesta is published by Osvaldo Di Pietrantonio, photographer, Venice, Italy (VAT IT14286051009), who is the data controller. For anything about your data write to info@focusfiesta.com.
What we collect
Server logs. Our hosting provider, Hostinger, records the usual server logs (IP address, time, page requested, browser) to keep the site running and secure. See Hostinger's privacy policy.
Clicks to organizers. Every "Visit the organizer" link passes through a counter on our server. It writes the time, the workshop, the page you came from, whether the request looks like a robot, and a 12-character code computed from your browser, your IP address and the day with a secret key stored on the server in a folder closed to the web. The code changes every day and cannot be turned back into your IP address without that key; the address itself is never stored. We use it to see which listings people open. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running the directory. Kept for up to 24 months.
Analytics (Google Analytics 4). With your consent where the law requires it (see below), Google Analytics tells us how many people visit, from which country and source, which pages and searches they use and which workshops they open. Where consent is required, Google's script still loads before you choose and sends cookieless pings (page viewed, browser, approximate location) which Google says it uses for aggregated modelling; no cookie is set and no search or click of yours is sent until you accept. Google does not store the IP address for this; we set Google to keep event-level data for 14 months. Google Ireland Limited processes this data for us; part of it is handled in the United States under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. How Google uses this data: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Email. If you write to us, we keep the exchange for as long as the conversation needs it. Our mail is hosted by Google Workspace.
Cookies and your choice
The only cookies on this site belong to Google Analytics (_ga and _ga_…, up to two years), and they are set only when analytics is allowed. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, analytics stays off until you click Accept in the banner; Reject keeps it off and removes any Google Analytics cookie already set. We remember your answer for a year in your browser's local storage, not in a cookie. Elsewhere, where consent is not required, analytics runs by default. You can change your choice at any time from Cookie settings, also linked in the footer of every page. Nothing else on this site needs consent.
Third parties on the page
The map tiles come from Esri (privacy; if Esri cannot be reached, from OpenStreetMap), the map library from cdnjs by Cloudflare and the analytics script from googletagmanager.com and google-analytics.com: loading them sends your IP address to those servers, as with any image on the web. Fonts are served from our own server. The workshop links lead to the organizers' own websites, each with its own privacy policy.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to its use, and take it with you (GDPR articles 15 to 21). Write to info@focusfiesta.com. You can also complain to the Italian supervisory authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.
Changes
If we change what we collect, we update this page and its date.
