About FocusFiesta
FocusFiesta is a hand-picked map of photography and video workshops around the world. It is made and kept by Osvaldo Di Pietrantonio, a photographer and filmmaker based in Venice, Italy. There is no company behind it and no booking engine: every listing links straight to the organizer, where dates, prices and bookings live.
How a workshop gets on the map
A workshop is listed only if it meets all of these: a named photographer or filmmaker who leads it in person; a small group; a published price and length; at least three past editions. No classroom-only courses, no mass tours, no resellers. A few workshops run live online, in groups of six or fewer, and their cards say so. Before a listing goes live, Osvaldo looks at the organizer's photographs and films himself: if the work does not convince him, the workshop stays out, whatever the criteria say.
Where the facts come from, and when they were checked
Every number on a card (price from, days, group size, period) is read from the organizer's own page, and each card shows the date it was last checked. We do not convert currencies and we do not estimate what is not published. The two-line summaries are drafted with the help of AI tools and read by a person before publishing. Prices and dates change: the organizer's page is always the reference.
Independence
No organizer pays to be listed, and no listing is sponsored. If that ever changes, sponsored positions will be marked as such. If Osvaldo ever runs a workshop of his own, it will be labelled.
